Quality checks at a glance

  1. Confirm table dimensions
  2. Review fabric, print and finishing
  3. Approve the product-specific proof

A quality custom table cover should fit the table, reproduce your artwork clearly and remain practical to use at repeated events. Price and the word “premium” do not tell you how a cover will perform. Compare the construction, the selected print method and the proofing process before choosing.

Start with the finished display, not just the fabric label

Ask to see a finished example of the style you are considering. A closeup helps you examine the printed surface and edges; a full-table photograph helps you evaluate the silhouette and logo placement. An illustration can explain a concept, but use actual product photographs to assess construction.

Five quality checks before purchase

  1. Fit: confirm tabletop length, width and height. Stretch covers also depend on the leg arrangement. A cover that fits another six-foot table is not automatically right for an unusual model.
  2. Print clarity: examine logo edges, small lettering and transitions in the artwork. Ask the design team to review the actual file at the intended print size. A sharp thumbnail does not establish that the file is usable for a large panel.
  3. Fabric suitability: ask which material belongs to the exact product. Consider whether you want a draped surface, sewn fitted corners or stretch tension, then ask about care and handling.
  4. Finishing: review edge finishing and seams in product photographs. Ask how corners and attachment points are constructed for the selected style.
  5. Proofing: verify that the order includes a review of the intended artwork and placement before production. Check dimensions, spelling and approved layout together.

Compare covers fairly

Compare the same size, coverage and printing method. A runner over an existing cloth serves a different purpose from a complete four-sided cover. A screen-printed logo treatment is also a different specification from an edge-to-edge full-color design. Include artwork assistance, shipping and any selected options when comparing your complete order.

Questions to send the supplier

  • What fabric and printing method are used for this exact cover?
  • Which table dimensions and leg configurations does it fit?
  • Can I see a completed example and a finishing closeup?
  • How should it be cleaned, dried, packed and stored?
  • What will the official proof show, and how are revisions handled?

What a digital proof can and cannot establish

A proof helps you review layout, wording, scale and intended placement. It is not a physical fabric sample and does not make a monitor an exact color reference. For important brand colors, explain the requirement before approval and ask how it can be evaluated for the chosen material.

Choose a cover you can use again

Keep permanent branding prominent and consider placing dates or short-lived offers on a separate display. Save the approved artwork and product specification so a future reorder can be checked against the original configuration.
